Job Development

Job Development involves getting to know the job seekers’s likes and dislikes, their expectations and goals, and acquired skillset. Alongside an Employment Specialist, a job seeker is supported in creating professional resumes, filling out job applications, and drafting strategies to pursue their desired vocational goals. Job Development focuses on pre-employment and preparation for pending employment in a community, competitive setting. Job Development can also entail Customized Employment for the job seeker, in which an Employment Specialist can tailor a job description to the person’s abilities and strengths without hindrance to the employer.
