Advocacy

Finding a job can be overwhelming, but with the right support, a job seeker can learn to self-advocate and to be advocated for regardless of the requirements for any potential job. Advocacy includes:

Obtaining required credentials for jobs, including identification and/or certification cards.

Purchasing of clothing for interviews and/or for the position.

Adaptation of documents, purchased adaptive devices, and other accommodations to allow an employee to complete work tasks efficiently.

Advocacy ensures an employer is in compliance with disability-related laws and regulations, and assures an employee with disabilities has the equal access their colleagues without disabilities have.
