Job Development is the first step in Competitive Integration Employement

Job Development involves getting to know the job seekers’s likes and dislikes, their expectations and goals, and acquired skillset. Alongside an Employment Specialist, a job seeker is supported in creating professional resumes, filling
out job applications, and drafting strategies to pursue their desired vocational goals. Job Development focuses on pre-employment and preparation for pending employment in a community, competitive setting. Job Development can also
entail Customized Employment for the job seeker, in which an Employment Specialist can tailor a job description to the person’s abilities and strengths without hindrance to the employer.
