Through the support of an Employment Specialist and Job Coach, job seekers with disabilities can expect the following from Supported Employment services.
– Vocational goal development and strategizing
– Assistance with resume development, communication with potential employers, and preparation from interviews
– 1:1 supports through new hire orientation and on-the-job training in a competitive integral employment setting
– Follow-along meetings to discuss strengths, revision of accommodations as needed, and any other questions/concerns the person may have
– Eventual fading of the support services as independence increases
