Job Coach

The Job Coach is responsible for training participants in a workplace setting. The Job Coach will utilize specific teaching techniques to instruct participants in designated jobs at a work site. The Job Coach ensures all assigned worksites are maintained to the highest quality standards and implements WEAVE Solutions’ mission and values by providing participants the opportunity for employment in a competitive, integrated setting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides coaching and training to participants through use of training techniques to instruct on employer-specific job tasks, work responsibilities and skills, appropriate habits and professional behavior.
  • Fosters and promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace
  • Ensures quality and performance standards are maintained according to the job specification of the employer while still exercising the ability to hold participants accountable
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per WEAVE Solutions. Provides weekly daily reports to the Administrative Manager on progress of job coaching 
  • Maintains regular contact with the Administrative Manager as appropriate

Assists individuals with completing applications and resume building

  • Fosters positive relationships with employers in the community and follows employers’ policies and procedures
  • Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards participants, co-workers, community partners, and any other party involved on the support team
  • Participates in job-related training offered by WEAVE Solutions, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affair, and other local and federal training to increase skills and improve current skills.
  • All other program-related duties assigned by the Administrative Manager 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates excellent skills in communication, relationship building, and problem-solving
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community partners
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manuals
  • Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and/or multiple disabilities
  • Ability to provide accurate case documentation


Qualifications (education, training, experience, licenses)

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of (1) year experience serving individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Forms required
  • First Aid/CPR certification required
  • Workplace Support Training Certification (State of Utah)
  • Job Coaching and Job Development certification (State of Nevada)
  • Must be able to have a flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license required and reliable transportation w/current automobile insurance

Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist is responsible for the development and placement of WEAVE Solutions’ participants to ensure successful employment. The Employment Specialist will assist participants’ transition into the workforce by providing career planning, coaching, and support. They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and employers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides coaching and training to participants, teaching them specific job tasks as well as work responsibilities and professional behavior
  • Engages in job development activities such as networking, marketing and identification of potential placement opportunities, touring companies, identification of business decision makers, building and maintaining business relationships, and securing positions for participants
  • Responsible for researching open positions by utilizing Internet resources as well as local newspaper and job fairs
  • Assists with both work and assistive technology evaluations, skills assessments, job readiness training and other activities related to employment transition and successful job placement
  • Regularly attends and networks with Regional Centers, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veteran Affairs and School District meetings
  • Conducts speaking engagements to ensure WEAVE Solutions’ name is recognized with community partners and stakeholders
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per agency. Provides weekly, monthly, and annual reports to the Administrative Manager and/or Director on the progress of Job Placement and assistive technology evaluations
  • Assists in providing services necessary to implement and train on assistive technology as well as employment supports
  • Arrives to work at the scheduled time, works required days, and follows proper procedures for calling out or requesting days off
  • Participates in job-related training offered by WEAVE Solutions, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affair, and other local and Federal training to increase skills and improve current skills
  • Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards participants, co-workers and community partners
  • All other program-related duties assigned by the Administrative Manager



Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use discretion of independent judgement
  • Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and/or multiple disabilities
  • Ability to travel within the service area including Reno and rural areas
  • Ability to provide accurate case documentation


Qualifications (education, training, experience, licenses)

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of (2) years experience serving individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Internet and email required
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required
  • Job Development and Job Coaching Certification (State of Nevada)
  • Workplace Support Training (State of Utah)
  • Must be able to have a flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license required and reliable transportation with current automobile insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Willing to acquire ACRE Certification (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators)
